Wills, probate, care and capacity specialists from Cheltenham law firm Lodders are joining experts from Neil Gayler & Co to share advice at a free event at Cheltenham’s Wentworth Court Nursing Home on 14 June at 10am
The free informative talk is open to anyone who would like to understand more about funding care in later life plus hear the latest advice on wills and probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
Guest speakers from Cheltenham leading law firm, Lodders, are the firm’s Partner and Head of its Care & Capacity team, Sofia Tayton, and Natalie Smith an Associate Solicitor in its private client team in Cheltenham and a specialist in writing wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and tax planning.
Sofia will provide the latest information on LPAs and the role of the Court of Protection in planning for peace of mind later in life and Natalie, a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, will discuss the role and importance of an up to date will in planning for the future, and offer practical guidance on matters to consider and include.
How to plan for and cover funding care home fees will be discussed by Neil Gayler who is a fully accredited member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) and an award-winning Master Practitioner with Symponia, the dedicated Care Fees planning network.
Wentworth Court Manager, Kate Stevens said: “This is a free event for anyone who’s caring for a loved one affected by dementia and wishes to understand more about funding care and how to best legally manage their assets.
“With the Alzheimer’s Society estimating that one million people will be affected by dementia by 2025, it’s also relevant to think ahead about managing legal affairs and consider making plans to finance any future care needs.
“We’re delighted to have on hand representatives from Lodders and Neil Gayler & Co, who will provide expert insights.”
