Currently we are undertaking building work to enhance our facilities. Please note that our temporary entrance off Barlow Road and accessed through the Wentworth Court car park. There is a bell attached to the wooden back gate that alerts our reception team.

Our Visiting Policy
We encourage our residents’ family, relatives and friends to regularly visit and maintain contact by letter, telephone or Skype between visits or when visiting is not possible. In these cases staff will offer to assist resident to respond where help may be needed.
We encourage residents’ families to be involved in developing their care plans and daily living activities and encourage families to participate in the resident’s daily routine as far as is practicable.
Our visiting hours are currently 10am – 1pm, 2 – 5pm and 6 – 8pm Mondays to Sundays. We encourage visitors report any adverse circumstances to the Person-in-Charge, such as the resident finding a visit to be upsetting for any reason.
Visits within Wentworth Court will take place in the resident’s bedroom, the garden or gazebo. Currently we are unable to facilitate visits in communal areas, however visits will be expanded to the ground floor atrium once the current building work is finished (estimated date 10 July 2023).
Residents have the right to refuse to see any visitor, and this right will be respected and up-held by the Person-in-Charge who will, if necessary, inform the visitors of the resident’s wishes.
Under certain circumstances if, in the opinion of the Person-in-Charge, a visitation or a particular visitor may be contrary to the well-being of the resident, then the Person-in-Charge will report this fact to the Home Manager who may, at his / her discretion, exclude the visitor(s) from the Home. Such instances will be recorded in the Incident Log and the resident’s personal notes, together with the reasons for exclusion.
Each individual circumstances will be considered by the Management Team – in which case visiting hours will be individualised to favourise the wellbeing of the resident and support the familial contact.
