We welcomed our first apprentices to the team, 18 year-old Jordan Robertson and 17 year-old Alicia Burns in Summer 2016.

In the following months, Wentworth Court has taken on a total of five apprentices who benefit from a programme of training and support in health and social care and alongside their study and hands-on learning. They also earn a salary and have the opportunity of a full-time job at the end of the year.

Wentworth Court’s training manager, Drew Ennett-Saunders says: “Our commitment to younger people is to provide a firm grounding and hopefully create a passion for working in the care industry.

“The qualifications they will gain with us will provide an excellent springboard for a career in nursing or as a senior care professional.”

The apprenticeship scheme is provided in partnership with Cheltenham training and assessment company, Independent Training.
