Cheltenham’s first dementia-only care home is opening its doors as part of the National Care Home Open Day event on Friday 19th June.

The idea behind the day is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and to better understand what care homes are really like.

Staff at Wentworth Court will be offering refreshments, tours and home-made cakes.

Home Manager, Carol Ball said: “We’re Cheltenham’s newest nursing home, and having only opened in May, we are keen to throw open our doors for people to see our facilities and the excellent long-term and day care on offer.”

“There’s no need to book, we’re happy for people to come round at a time that suits between 10am and 5pm to have a look around and meet our staff and residents.”
