Wentworth Court specialises in dementia nursing care tailored to suit the needs of the individual. We offer long-term residential care for those who need daily assistance or shorter-term respite and day care to enable carers to take breaks while their relatives benefit from the excellent care and facilities offered at Wentworth Court.

Dementia Care

Our approach to dementia care is to focus on the needs of each individual while ensuring that respect, dignity and a high standard of care remain at the very forefront of all we do. Our team works closely with our residents and their families to understand the changing and complex needs of every individual and tailor care to their specific needs. All members of the team, including the domestic and maintenance team, will be given training on best practice in dementia care, enabling a consistent approach to dementia care across the entire team at Wentworth Court.

We recognise that caring for a loved one can be physically and mentally demanding. Our respite care is designed to allow families and carers to recharge their batteries, in the knowledge that their loved ones are in a safe and caring environment.

Those visiting Wentworth Court for respite care can expect the same high standard of care and attention as our long-stay residents.

Our nursing team pride themselves on providing high-quality medical care twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Their expert knowledge is complimented by their caring approach, providing complete assurance that residents receive the best possible care for their individual needs.

Our nursing team is supported by partnerships with a wide range of medical professionals in the local community, with links to a range of specialists including GPs, opticians, dentists, dieticians, physiotherapists and chiropodists.

Person Centred Care Plans

Person-centred planning recognises that every resident has a specific set of needs. Each plan takes into account everything from medical requirements to likes, dislikes, interests, personality and life history.

Our plans evolve based on a continual process of listening and learning about our residents, ensuring that our staff can tailor care very specifically to meet the changing and often complex needs of our residents.



By using the latest electronic care planning technology, staff can access, review and evaluate individual care plans and actions, ensuring that all of the care given is fully documented with an accurate time line. The system allows nurses and care staff to spend more time with residents, safe in the knowledge that care is being delivered based on accurate and up to date information.
