A firm favourite activity with our residents, Wentworth Court welcomes Claire from Golden Toes Dance Academy every month. The sessions provide seated dance sessions for those who have always loved dancing, and for those who would like to learn some new moves.

“It’s like a seated ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ session,” says Golden Toes founder, Veronique Murdoch. “We develop dances from different genres from ballroom to rock ‘n’ roll and use the same routines every month, so that the residents get to know the drill, before slowly introducing new steps and routines.”

As well as providing enjoyment and mental stimulation, the sessions help to keep residents’ muscles and joints flexible and contribute to a sense of well-being.
