Wentworth Court is delighted to be taking part in Care Home Open Week between 26 June – 2 July. The week is organised by Championing Social Care, a volunteer-led group of leaders from across the social care sector.
The theme of this year’s Care Home Open Week is ‘community’, with the aim of encouraging communities to engage with care home residents and the exceptional care professionals that care for them.
Events are taking place across the country and here at Wentworth Court we will be welcoming visitors from our local community throughout the week, including Ben the Labrador from Pets as Therapy, practitioners from the Everyman Theatre and children from Hester’s Way Primary School.
Mitesh Dhanak, Chair of the Organising Committee of Championing Social Care, Founder of Precious Homes and owner of Wentworth Court says: “We’re delighted with the enthusiasm we’ve seen from care homes so far to participate in this year’s Care Home Open Week. We hope that care homes will find this new set of tools helpful, and that they will inspire them with new ways to promote the exciting events that are taking place within their own care homes.
“This year’s Care Home Open Week aims to connect communities and it’s our ambition that different sections of society will come together during this week. We’re grateful to our headline sponsors, Virgin Money, Civitas Investment Management and Christie & Co for their continued support and guidance in helping us make this happen.”
